The Town

The small agro-pastoral town, surrounded by splendid woods of walnuts, chestnuts, cherry trees, ilexes and cork-trees, is in dominant position on the fertile valley of the Iscra where many torrents flow.
The centre still preserves many examples of traditional rural architecture.
After about an hour walk one can vist the calcareous cliff of " Pitz 'e Pranu " or " Punta Tonnai ". The rural small churches of Santa Margherita, of San Sebastiano (this last one built entirely in wood ) and the Parrocchia di Sant'Agostino dating to the 1500, contains two wooden altars repainted in 1830 by Angelo Borre from Cagliari, and an organ of the 1700 are all worth visiting.
